Here are a few things you may want to know about me.

Leash trained
At my house – (Foster) I can put him on a leash and collar and he is easy. I can loop a long line clipped to itself (like a slip lead) and he walks ok – no pulling. I would not say he is leashed trained like you would learn in obedience class

Likes Toys
He loves toys – but can only have certain ones. He cant have soft plush toys or anything he can
chew a limb off. He doesn’t rip toys apart – he tries to chew a piece off and eat it. There are
things he can chew (gorilla chew, tennis balls, cuz)

Obedient
He is a good dog – he does not know much obedience. He will sit, he comes to me, will walk on a leash.

Affectionate
Yes – he does like to be petted. He likes to play. If he gets to spun up or has to go out he gets mouthy

Crate trained
He is good in the 4x4 pen he is in. He is also ok if we leave him loose in the house when we leave. We have done this hear and there

Lap Pet
Not right now. Maybe down the road. He will not get on the furniture

Playful
He has learned to play (he was too afraid when we first got him). Sometimes when he plays he gently tries to grab your hand or shorts and run. He really just thinks it how to play – he play bows too when he does this

Eager to Please
He tries hard and has learned a lot since we have had him. Things still scare him – but he tries to work thru it

Does Well in the Car
Will not get in the car on his own. We have to put him in. Once in – he is ok – a little nervous but does not panic

Protective / Territorial
He has not been protective or territorial. We pet him when he eats – he is ok but sometimes acts like he has to hurry to eat when we pet him because his food will disappear.

Timid / Shy
He is timid when someone wants to meet him. If I would hand the person the leash and have them walk he is ok and will warm up. He is not fearful where he would bite someone that wanted to pet him

Intelligent Very smart – wants to learn and try to do stuff

Likes to Swim
He has been in the pool once – almost got him to swim. With time – I think he would swim
Tries to Escape No – he would rather run back inside then try to escape. Has not tried to dig or jump the fence

Skittish
He is scared of stuff he does not know but we have been able to get him to check it out. He tries
really hard.

Even Tempered
Yes. Pretty laid back. Most of the time you don’t know you have a dog. He rarely barks (unless we spin him up when we play – then he will bark – he may look scary to someone when he plays and barks but its how he plays). We can get him to settle and pet him easy even if he is spun up

Likes to Fetch
Yes. We taught him to fetch balls and frisbees. He won’t give them back but we can tell him to
drop it so we can throw another. He does not have a lot of stamina yet – so he can only do 4-6
times then he is ready to go inside

Preditory
Not really. He isn’t fast enough to catch anything – he will chase a bird that was on the ground or a squirrel if he sees it.

Independent / Aloof
Not really. He will go outside on his own now (would not leave the garage when we got him) but really seems to enjoy having a person around. If you are new to him – he takes a bit to warm up

Gentle
Yes. He is really pretty good. He can get mouthy when he plays – or if he needs to go outside. He is much better at taking treats. Overall he is pretty laid back.
