1/12/23 Meet Emma! Emma is a small Shepherd mix. She was found as a stray in the streets of Miami with her sister Ena. She is cautious when meeting new people, but eventually warms up. She has come a long way since being stranded. She would do best in a quiet home. Emma is a sweet pup and only about 10 months old. She is not expected to get much larger, she currently weighs about 40lbs. She does well with other dogs once introduced properly and she is good with kids. Cats unknown.

11/5/22 Emma has made amazing strides since she got here just a few weeks ago. She has gone from fearing human touch and cowering in corners to allowing people to touch her, excepting treats and wagging her tail upon meeting. She seems to still feel fearful of men more so than women. She likes to play in the yard with her sister and play with toys. She tends to dominate her sister which causes her sister to regress. I believe she would do well in a quieter home, and the man knowing she will need time to feel secure with them. She has not been tested with other dogs, so we do not know how she would do however, she is young enough that with slow introductions may thrive with another non dominant dog. she does show more dominant tendencies towards her sister, so selecting the right dog will be a must.

10/22/22 Ema was found as stray in Miami. Scooped up by MDAS. Very nervous and scared but is doing well. We will be working with she and her sister Ena to help them understand they are safe They need some time to adjust before they will be available for adoption. We will continue to update this bio and share their progress.
