This week I have had the pleasure of fostering Mimi while her foster mom went out of town. What I learned about Mimi this week was surprising and she deserves a family of her own. Mimi is;

Very sweet, loving, and obedient.

Not aggressive towards people or other animals but is reactive towards other animals if the other animal shows aggression first. But is corrected with a commands.

*requires a stern handler.

*Single family home with yard, fence NOT required. No apartment or condo type homes.

*outdoors with prong collar for training and correction. I don’t think this will be a permanent issue because Mimi listens to her handler, well at least she listens to me, you have to be stern with her.

*Mimi requires a heavy duty crate due to her anxiety.

*she gets along with non-reactive dogs but will bark at other dogs that are reactive. This can be corrected with the prong collar. No reaction to my cat, did not show any interest.

*requires a family that will spend time with her and not depend on leaving in a crate. She does very well indoors with a person. Again a heavy duty crate is required when she is left alone or a safe space indoors.

*Mimi and her handler will need some training and Socialization.
