Symkha Update – From Scared to Sweetheart

Good evening from Symkha’s foster home—and what a difference a little love is already making. ❤️

This handsome boy is doing so well and starting to show us who he really is. After a nice bath today, his knuckles are already looking a bit less red (yay for progress!), and his personality is beginning to shine through. And let us tell you…he’s a character .

Symkha is:
✨ Playful and full of life – he keeps his foster smiling with his silly, funny antics
A walking enthusiast – he absolutely LOVES his walks
A softie at heart – he adores his stuffed bear and even went to find it and carry it out like his prized possession
Endearingly sensitive – a butterfly startled him today (we can’t make this up ), reminding us just how gentle his soul is

He’s also been given some time to explore the home at his own pace and is doing great with that freedom. He chose comfort and familiarity, seeking out his “baby” (that stuffed bear again!)—which tells us so much about his sweet, affectionate nature.

We’re addressing a few minor things:
✂️ His nails were quite long, which may have been affecting his walk—clippers are on the way
Some paw licking and itchiness overnight, which we’re keeping an eye on as we continue his care

But overall? Symkha is thriving. He is gentle, loving, and already forming a beautiful bond with his foster.

This boy has been through a lot, but you’d never know it from the way he’s learning to trust and love again. He’s going to make an incredible companion for a very lucky family.
